Dee Ronald Ward, 87, of Pittsburg, Kan., died 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2022 at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, Kan. Wooden toy soldiers are gathered in front of the Empress Event Center Tuesday afternoon to begin their annual 10-month leave.
