At the beginning of last week, Karen Curran had seven girls out for golf. By Tuesday afternoon, there were 10 on the team, including two transfers, sisters from Caney Valley. Three of the returning Tigers and one of the transfers have varsity experience. And two of the other original seven that were out played on the Fort Scott JV last season. Maybe it was because they had only practiced five times so far this summer but Fort Scott High's football team seemed especially motivated during the lawn chair scrimmage Saturday morning at the FSHS practice field. Due to a few injuries and the warm, humid conditions, the varsity/JV portion of the scrimmage wrapped up in a bit less than an hour and a half.
