Fort Scott man dies in Tuesday one-vehicle accident

A second motorist in less than a week was killed Tuesday in a vehicle accident in Bourbon County. Emergency personnel responded about 10 p.m. Tuesday to a one-vehicle crash that took place at 2131 Maple Dr. The vehicle, a 2005 Kia Optima, was westbound on Maple Road when it left the road and entered the south ditch, rolling several times and striking several trees. Fort Scott City Commissioners got an idea Tuesday of the financial impact to date of the April 7 hail storm that caused a multitude of damages throughout the county.
