Homes tour turnout exceptional Saturday, dwindles Sunday

The 28th Annual Homes for the Holidays Tour saw many people who braved the cold winter weather on Saturday. The tour was scheduled to run through Sunday. However, Saturday's head count was extremely high, while Sunday's numbers were rather scant, Stocking Stuffer Coordinator Caroline Crystal said. Candlelight Tour sold out despite weather

Wintry weather, including cold temperatures and sleet that struck the area over the weekend, only slightly affected the 26th Annual Candlelight Tour at the Fort Scott National Historic Site, park officials said Monday. Despite adverse weather conditions, every ticket for all of the weekend walking tours were sold, with about 450 people turning out to take the tours on Friday and Saturday evening.
