New county commission’s first action – solar energy moratorium (Local News ~ 01/14/25)
One of the new Bourbon County Commission’s first actions of 2025 was a new moratorium on solar energy developments within the county. On Monday, commissioners voted to amend the agenda, at the request of Commissioner David Beerbower, to discuss a potential moratorium. The Fort Scott High School Tiger boys edged closer to their first win of the season, but ultimately fell 55-50, while the Lady Tigers cruised to a 65-36 win in a varsity doubleheader with Pittsburg Tuesday night.
