Bryan Lee Turpen, age 47, La Cygne, Kan., passed away Saturday, Dec. 21, 2024.  A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 28, 2024, at the Schneider Funeral Home, La Cygne Chapel. Jennie Darlene (Brillhart) Cowan, 98, died in Mesa, Aariz., on Dec. 13, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer. Darlene was born on Oct. 4, 1926 to Housan and Jennie (Crane) Brillhart in Fort Scott, Kan., the youngest of four children. Darlene was a talented seamstress. ...
