The Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information that would lead toward a suspect or suspects involved in a March 21 fire at Pearson’s Towing. According to a news release issued Friday, the BCSO is offering a $10,000 reward “for any information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person or persons responsible for the fire at Pearson’s Towing.”...

Fort Scott High School played host to its home junior varsity tennis tournament Monday. Pittsburg was the team champion with 14 points followed by Independence with 13. The Tigers finished with 3 points for fourth place. Jayden Royal-Bey and Weston Pellett were third in No. 1 doubles. PITTSBURG — For members of Fort Scott High’s track and field teams earned medals at the Pittsburg State University Jock’s Nitch Gorilla Relays here Friday. Ella Beth won two of those medals in running events. She finished sixth in the 1,600-meter run with a time of 5:30.04 and eighth in the 800 in 2:27.76. Pittsburg’s McKenzie Wilks won both of those events, turning in a meet-record time of 2:17.20 in the 800...

BURLINGTON —Uniontown athletes won eight medals here Monday in the Waverly Gene Farrow Invitational. MOUND CITY — Uniontown’s softball team split with Jayhawk-Linn in a Three Rivers League doubleheader here Monday. With a second-place finish in their home tournament Monday at Woodland Hills Golf Course, Fort Scott High’s golf team moved into second place in the Southeast Kansas League following the second of four designated tournaments.
