Raymon Earl Hartman, 82, of Uniontown, Kan., died early Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, in Wichita, Kan. Arrangements will be announced by Konantz-Cheney Funeral Home.

The additional $3 fee charged to residents who renew their vehicle tags at the Bourbon County Treasurer’s Office will remain in place through the end of 2018. County commissioners said Tuesday they will look at the possibility of reducing the fee to $2.50 in December...

Fort Scott Community College’s baseball program has answered a call for help from University of Houston men’s basketball coach Kelvin Sampson. Tuesday afternoon, Sampson took to Twitter (@CoachSampsonUH) to ask for donations of 20 T-shirts and 10 pairs of shoes from athletic programs across the nation.
