Simons wins top flight in city golf tourney

The first Fort Scott City Golf Championship Tournament in many years was held last weekend at Woodland Hills Golf Course. There were three flights of competition and closest-to-the-pin contests each day. Landon Simons won the Championship Flight, shooting 69 on the front nine and 72 on the back for a two-day total of 141. Jon Allen was one stroke back in second place at 67-75--142.
