Blaze damages vacant home (Local News ~ 05/05/11)
The Fort Scott Fire Department was called to a house fire Tuesday night that resulted in heavy damage. Fire Chief Paul Ballou said eight firefighters responded to the tone out that dispatched them to the residence at 1524 E. Elm shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday. The blaze was active in 75 percent of the house, according to Ballou who described it as a "pretty heavy fire." The FSFD had the flames under control shortly before midnight... -
