Doris M. West, age 76, resident of 102 S. Lincoln, Fort Scott, died Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Medicalodge of Fort Scott. Services for Doris West will be announced by the Cheney Witt Chapel, 201 S. Main.

Button button, who's got the button? I can remember when I was young(er) and I was always fascinated with my mama's button jar and also my Grandma Coleman's button jar. I, too, started a button jar in the early part of our marriage. It is a colored fruit jar with a rubber ring lid. Over the years it has become almost "plumb" full. Bronson Eastern Star Chapter No. 65 and Bourbon Lodge No. 268 shared a carry-in meal June 12 for the purpose of 50-year pin and 50-year emblem presentation.
