FSCC trustees induct new board members, hear program reports

On Monday, the Fort Scott Community College Board of Trustees received reports on the recent success of two FSCC programs. FSCC Head Women's Softball Coach Lauren Sigwing, who took over coaching duties late last year, presented a report on the softball team's current season. COLUMBUS -- Fort Scott High's golf team won the team title by 10 strokes here Monday as Chris Brown and Cole Murrin finished with the top two individual scores. Numerous factors were considered when deciding on the design and location of the proposed $6.5 million aquatic center, Aquatic Center Vision Committee Co-convener Dave Martin said. Fort Scott Police Department and the AARP Driver Safety program will offer a defensive driving class for mature drivers on Tuesday June 19, and Wednesday, June 20 at the Fort Scott Police Department, 1604 S National in Fort Scott.
