Easter services, breakfast, egg hunt

Easter services at the Diamond Community Church will consist of Sunrise services at 7 a.m., and breakfast will follow. Between breakfast and church services there will be an egghunt for the children. Church services will be at 9 a.m. that morning. The public is invited. If you have any questions, call 223-2536.

Pastor Stephen's message, March 9, was the fourth in a series. "You are rich though afflicted and poor". Scripture was Revelation 2:8-11. Specials were "He's coming again" sung by Joy Muhota and James Muguro. Grace, Bro, and Rahab sang "Everybody Wants a Brand New World". James Muguro will preach March 16 and 23, while Pastor Stephen will be on a mission trip to Yenye.

March 8, Ed and Opal Brillhart visited relatives in Nevada, Mo. Opal's brother, Bill and wife Norma, have returned from spending the winter in Florida. They also visited a sister, Mary Dahmer.

Edna Mae Marsh enjoyed lunch with Hubert and Joan Thomas, March 10. Greag Thomas and Nicholas, Wichita, were also present.

Saturday evening, March 8, Ed and Opal's great grandaughter, Brianni Brillhart visited.

Bonita Wrestler, Chanute, visited with her sister Ednae Mae Marsh, March 7.

March 8, Esther Secrest was among those attending the Bourbon County Unit of Kansas Retired School Personnel at the Southern Baptist Church. Don Miller told of the "Mystery of Hell's Bend". A train that went off the tracks near Hells Bend and all the tales regarding the incident.

Anna Rourk, Elizabeth Queen, Dorothy Ketner and Esther Secrest enjoyed lunch at Otto's in Pittsburg, March 12.
