Beating the heat

With temperatures in the 90s Tuesday afternoon, area youngsters took advantage of cool water at the Fort Scott Aquatic Center. Temperatures are expected to continue to hover in the 90s with the heat index higher the rest of the week. The Aquatic Center is located at 735 Scott Ave. and is open from 1 to 7 p.m.,Monday through Saturday and 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday. Closing time on Wednesdays vary because of swim meets.
