In response to calls regarding the road conditions at the Fort Scott Industrial Park, Bourbon County Public Works Director Jim Harris reported he hasn't had any luck finding funding assistance for road repairs. Harris said he has contacted the Kansas Department of Transportation to see if there are funding programs available to help pay for repairing the roads...

The city is moving forward with the sale of some city-owned property near the wastewater treatment plant. During the Tuesday meeting of the Fort Scott City Commission, City Manager Dave Martin introduced Robert Bledsoe, a business and property owner from Kansas City, Mo., who owns about 58 acres of land near the wastewater treatment plant.
