Forty-mile pursuit of man who allegedly abducted child ends in Fort Scott

Nevada Police Chief Casey Crain and Nevada Police Lt. Amber Williams walk back to their vehicles after a high speed chase that began in El Dorado Springs, Mo., Wednesday morning ended at the Fort Scott Munitions parking lot in Fort Scott. In the background, Bourbon County EMS personnel attended to a child that was in the vehicle being chased. The child was not injured and was eventually released to her mother. At least a dozen law enforcement vehicles from various jurisdictions in Missouri and Kansas were on the scene.

A high speed pursuit that began Wednesday morning, March 26, in El Dorado Springs, Mo., where a child was abducted at gun-point, concluded in Fort Scott, Kan. The pursuit and arrest of the suspect involved law enforcement from seven agencies.
