Lady Tigers look to rematch with Labette County in Sub-State championship

The Fort Scott High School Lady Tigers are one game away from a return trip to the state tournament after handling the Ottawa High School Cyclones, 49-23, in a first-round Sub-State matchup Wednesday night in the FSHS gym.

The win over the No. 13 seed Cyclones (9-12) sets the No. 4 seeded Lady Tigers (17-4) up for an SEK rematch with the No. 5 seeded Labette County High School Lady Grizzlies (17-4) at 5 p.m. tonight. Fort Scott will host the game, with the winner claiming a Sub-State championship and advancing to the KSHSAA Class 4A State Championship March 12-15 at the Tony’s Pizza Events Center in Salina.
