Trio of Eagle grapplers qualify for state

Three members of the Uniontown High School girls’ wrestling team have qualified for the state tournament.

During the Girls Class 3-1A East Regionals Feb. 15, Uniontown’s Madison Shepard placed second in the 100-pound weight class; Kaelynn Hathaway finished eighth at 105 pounds; and McKenna Wolf placed eighth at 140 pounds.

All three competitors qualified for the Class 3-1A state tournament Feb. 28 in Hays.

As a team, Uniontown scored 27 points to finish in 27th place.
