Tigers battle in 55-50 loss; Lady Tigers dominate, move to 7-0

The Fort Scott High School Tiger boys edged closer to their first win of the season, but ultimately fell 55-50, while the Lady Tigers cruised to a 65-36 win in a varsity doubleheader with Pittsburg Tuesday night.
The Tiger boys (0-7) took a 16-15 lead after the first quarter and battled the Dragons (3-5) to a 25-25 tie at halftime. The Dragons pulled away slightly in the second half, but the Tigers clawed back from a 12-point deficit to trail Pittsburg 34-29 after the third quarter.
The Lady Tigers (7-0) hammered the Lady Dragons, leading 23-9 after the first quarter, 38-20 at halftime and 55-28 after three quarters of play.
