Discussion on proposed development awaits new commission

One of the topics a new Bourbon County Commission will likely address in the new year is potential development of land near the former hospital building which is now owned by the Kansas Renewal Institute.

On Dec. 30, commissioners tabled discussion on a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Legacy Health that commissioners said would allow the healthcare company to develop on about 11 acres of land near the hospital site.
