City commission issues deadline for building repair plan
Friday, December 27, 2024
The Fort Scott City Commission is giving the owner of a building at 118 E. Wall St., until the commission’s next meeting Jan. 7 to come up with a plan of action for building repairs.
Although commissioners did not vote during their last meeting on Dec. 17, the consensus was to seek an answer from the owners of the building, which houses the Fort Scott Barber Shop, on whether the owners plan to seek grants to help fund repairs. Commissioners have discussed the status of the deteriorating building for several months.
