Trial date set in involuntary manslaughter case

A jury trial for a Fort Scott man facing a felony involuntary manslaughter charge from a 2023 vehicle crash was reset Tuesday morning in Bourbon County District Court.

After a discussion with attorneys in the case of the State of Kansas vs. Daniel Evan Blake, Bourbon County District Judge Mark Ward set a three-day jury trial to begin Tuesday, March 25.
