City commission approves amendment for two city funds

In their final meeting of 2024, Fort Scott City Commissioners approved an amendment to the city’s 2024 budget that will allow spending of funds beyond the authority for the 2024 budget.

After a discussion, commissioners approved an amendment pertaining to Stormwater Fund No. 719 and Golf Fund No. 219. During a public hearing, taxpayers had a chance to ask questions relating to the proposed use of funds.
