Fort Scott City Commissioners have put a timeline in place for the owners of a downtown building to provide requested information to the commission before the city proceeds with condemnation of the building.
During a special meeting and public hearing Tuesday, commissioners unanimously approved a motion by Commissioner Dyllon Olson to proceed with condemnation and order repair of a building at 118 E. Wall St., which houses the Fort Scott Barber Shop. Olson also said in his motion the building owners will provide the requested documents to the city by Oct. 1, as well as proof that repairs will start by Oct. 15.
