POW/MIA Recognition Day

One of two POW/MIA flags fly at the entrance to the Fort Scott National Cemetery Friday morning. Friday was National POW/MIA Recognition Day, which honors those who were prisoners of war or those who are still missing in action. The POW/MIA flag was first recognized on Aug. 10, 1990.
