KDWP drawing down water level at Bourbon State Fishing Lake

The Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks is in the middle of a process that could provide a benefit for anglers.

KDWP District Fisheries Biologist Don George said Thursday the annual “fall water level draw down” began Tuesday at Bourbon State Fishing Lake, a 103-acre state fishing lake located four miles east of Elsmore near the Bourbon-Allen county line. George said the lake is sometimes referred to as “Bourbon Allen Lake” or “Elsmore Lake.”
