Sharon Faye Conner Ralls, age 78, passed away Aug. 23, 2024 surrounded by her family. Sharon was born March 7, 1946 in Fort Scott, Kan., to Floyd and Nadine Conner of Redfield, Kan. Sharon spent her childhood on her family’s farm outside of Redfield where she attended Paint Creek Church of the Brethren and the Rural Elementary School. She graduated from Uniontown High School in 1964.

After graduation, she was employed at Western Insurance of Fort Scott, Kan., until 1968. She married her best friend and schoolmate, Floyd Ralls Jr. on Aug. 20, 1967 and resided in Pittsburg, Kan., while Floyd finished college. They moved to Cimarron, Kan., in 1968 and raised two children, Jeff and Susan.

Sharon was a homemaker, interior decorator and consultant, as well as owning Sharon’s Wedding Essentials. She was an active member of the First Church of the Nazarene of Cimarron and Wellington, where she and Floyd retired in 2014.

Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Nadine Conner; and brother, Donnie Lee Conner.

She is survived by her husband, Floyd; son, Jeff (Robin) Ralls; daughter, Susan Austin; 11 grand and great-grandchildren, Audrey Gill, Tyler Ralls, Victoria Dugan, Chloie Ralls, Kaeden Gill, Riggin Austin, Sadie Ralls, Kynnedy Gill, Kane Dugan, Kyzer Gill, and Gauge Dugan; sister-in-law, Mina Conner; brother-in-law, Bill Ralls; nieces, Tita Conner, Marka Huber, Rebecca Steichen, Beth Bryant; nephews, Junior Conner, Trenton Conner; and a loving extended family.

Visitation will take place Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 from 1 to 7 p.m. with family present from 5 to 7 p.m. at Cornejo Funeral Home, 1030 Mission Road, Wellington, KS 67152. A funeral service to honor Sharon’s life will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024 at 10 a.m. at First Church of the Nazarene, 702 W. 8th St, Wellington, KS 67152 followed by a luncheon. After the luncheon, Sharon will be laid to rest with a Committal Service at Clarksburg Cemetery in Fort Scott, Kan., starting at 3:30 p.m. Friends and family are welcome to attend.

Memorial contributions can be given in her memory to National Breast Cancer Foundation or Wellington Christian Academy. Donations can be mailed or left with the funeral home.
