USD 234 in waiting mode on preschool project

USD 234 officials are waiting for plans to be developed by the architect and contractor for a new preschool center in a building located at 902 S. Horton St.

USD 234 Superintendent Destry Brown told the Tribune Aug. 7 officials are also waiting to determine funding available for the project, which would expand the district’s preschool services. He said the district did not receive a Capital Projects Fund Accelerator grant that would have funded a majority of the project. Architect fees for the project are $245,000.
