City severs ties with economic development organization, funding removed from county’s budget

The city of Fort Scott is pursuing other avenues for economic development, and Bourbon County has no funds allocated for economic development in its proposed 2025 budget.

On Tuesday, the Fort Scott City Commission voted to proceed with dissolving a partnership with the Bourbon County Regional Economic Development, Inc. organization.
