County attorney resigns days before winning Primary Election in Neosho County

Bourbon County Attorney Tiana McElroy issued her resignation late last month and the Bourbon County Republican Committee is working to name her replacement.

County Clerk Jennifer Hawkins said McElroy submitted her letter of resignation to the clerk’s office and office of Gov. Laura Kelly on July 29, with an effective date of July 31.

McElroy, who has served as county attorney since 2021, provided no reason for her resignation in the letter to Kelly’s office.
