City, HBCAT partner with family to add to Nelson Park

The city of Fort Scott plans to contribute city funds and recognize a local family’s history for a proposed improvement project at Nelson Park.

During a special meeting Monday evening, the Fort Scott City Commission approved a motion for the Healthy Bourbon County Action Team (HBCAT) to apply for an Our Town matching grant, a letter of cash commitment of $16,780 from the city, and $17,675 in in-kind services from the city.
