City commission votes to re-bid repairs to Memorial Hall facade

Fort Scott City Commissioners considered two motions before eventually voting to re-bid proposals for repairs to the facade of Memorial Hall.

Commissioners and city staff discussed two bids the city received from local companies for stone work on the front of the nearly 100-year-old building. Crumbling stones on the building’s facade have become a safety concern in recent months.
