Freeman to bring ER, hospital to Fort Scott

During a news conference Thursday morning at the former emergency department in Fort Scott, Freeman Health System CEO Paula Baker announced the company plans to take over the emergency room and also add a 10-bed inpatient hospital at the Legacy Health Foundation Building, formerly Mercy Hospital.
