Judge sentences woman charged in theft, forgery case to probation

A Fort Scott woman was sentenced Wednesday to two years of probation for her involvement in felony theft and forgery from a local law firm.

During a sentencing hearing in Bourbon County District Court, Judge Nancy Parrish sentenced Alexa Leigh Metcalf, who formerly worked for the Mason & Clark Law Office, LLC in Fort Scott, to 24 months probation, as well as a restitution fee of $40,000 due on or before Dec. 31.
