Marshall was many things, but especially a friend

Bob Marshall made friends through all of his life’s endeavors, from politics to athletics, and left a lasting legacy in Fort Scott.

Marshall, who died Sept. 20 at the age of 85, played four sports at the University of Kansas, served in the military during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and four years in the Kansas Senate.
