Tigers mount comeback, fall 34-28 in Paola

Despite a second-half comeback that saw the Fort Scott Tigers score 21 unanswered points, the Paola Panthers were able to hold on for a 34-28 victory in the season opener Friday night in Paola.

In a rushing battle, Fort Scott’s offense faced a stingy Paola defense in the first half and was stifled on penalties to leave the Tigers trailing 21-0 at halftime.
