Cowan to celebrate 105th birthday

Hattie Faye Brillhart Cowan smiles and laughs when she talks about her life, which has spanned more than a century.

Cowan, who goes by Faye, will turn 105 years of age on Sept. 3. A resident of Guest Home Estates the last two years, Cowan was born and raised on a farm in Mapleton. She recently shared some of her memories with the Tribune during a visit at the residential care facility.
