Two charged in fatal crash

Two Fort Scott residents were arrested following their involvement in a two-vehicle crash Saturday afternoon that claimed the life of a Hutchinson man.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol crash log, Daniel E. Blake, 60, was driving a 1998 Mercury Grand Marquis eastbound on U.S. Highway 54 when Blake failed to yield and turned in front of a westbound 2015 Harley Davidson Road Glide, causing the motorcycle to overturn and strike the Mercury.
