City to move forward with contractors' license fees

The Fort Scott City Commissioners voted on April 4 to move forward with an ordinance creating contractor license fees. The motion, which Mayor Matthew Wells made at the end of the meeting, passed 3-2, with Wells, and commissioners Katy Harrington and Edwin Woellhof voting yest and Tim Van Hoecke and Josh Jones voting no.

Previously during the meeting the commission voted to table action and have more discussion during their April 18 meeting.
