Middle school locked down due to gun fire at nearby apartment complex

Fort Scott Police officers made an arrest Monday following an incident involving a discharged firearm at an apartment complex on Shepherd Street.

According to a Fort Scott Police Department news release, at 11:05 a.m., FSPD officers and deputies from the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call regarding a gun shot in the area of the Highland Apartments, 804 Shepherd St.
