Tiger netters battle winds in Independence

Fort Scott High School’s varsity boys’ tennis team finished third Thursday at the Independence Invitational.

The Tigers placed third with five team points, behind Independence’s and Parsons’ squads, who tied with nine points; Independence finished first as the Bulldogs defeated Parsons 3-1 head-to-head. Labette County High School finished fourth with one point.
