County’s 2023 road plan approved

A $19,466 project to overlay a portion of Jayhawk Road from U.S. Highway 69 to Liberty Bell Road is among District 1 projects included in the county’s 2023 asphalt plan, which county officials have discussed in recent weeks.

After a lengthy discussion on budgets and priorities, the Bourbon County Commission on March 23 approved the hard surface road plan for 2023.

Public Works Director Eric Bailey asked commissioners if they were ready to move forward with the plan. Commissioners held a work session to discuss roads on March 20, and due to technical difficulties with the YouTube stream, the entire meeting was not available to the public.
