Tiger baseball begins season with loss to Blue Valley Southwest

Fort Scott High School’s varsity baseball team could not overcome an early lead by Blue Valley Southwest in a season-opening 6-3 loss Thursday in Overland Park.

The Timberwolves grabbed a 4-0 lead in the second inning and led 6-1 after five innings. The Tigers (0-1) added two more runs in the seventh but it was not enough to overtake the 2022 Class 5A state champions.
