Meeting scheduled to discuss grant for Memorial Hall repairs

Fort Scott City Commissioners will have a special meeting at 5:15 p.m. Monday to discuss a grant application for improvements at Memorial Hall.

Refocusing attention on the building’s deteriorated front steps was discussed once again during Tuesday’s commission meeting by Human Resources Director and Assistant City Manager Brad Matkin. Later during the meeting, Jason Dickman with Earles Engineering said he hopes to have bid documents ready for the next meeting. Commissioner Josh Jones asked if they could do requests for proposals (RFPs) prior to bidding the project.
