Fort Scott Community College is moving forward with a plan to address ongoing heating and cooling issues inside Arnold Arena on the college campus.

On Monday, FSCC Director of Facilities and Operations Jared Keylon updated the FSCC Board of Trustees on a proposed project to install new HVAC units in the facility, which hosts the college’s home basketball and volleyball practices and games. Trustees later approved a bid from Rouse Sheet Metal, Inc., of Joplin, Mo., with a stipulation that once electrical expenses are added, the total project cost does not exceed $200,000.
