Sharing the Word with the state’s incarcerated

Tom, Lucy and their son Randy Bevard have been in and out of prisons for years. It’s become a way of life for them.

In 1975, Tom took a job as jailer at the old Bourbon County Jail located behind the courthouse. He lived in the apartment above the jail. A month later, he and Lucy were married and she moved into the apartment with him.
