FSCC trustees adopt new budget

Although it was not unanimous, the Fort Scott Community College Board of Trustees has adopted the college’s 2022-23 budget which includes a mill levy that will exceed the revenue neutral rate.
On Monday, trustees approved a revenue neutral rate resolution which states FSCC will levy a property tax rate exceeding the revenue neutral rate of 29.288 mills. Trustees also reviewed and adopted the new budget, which includes about $17 million in budgeted expenses and transfers.
