Trio of Tiger netters bound for state

Three Fort Scott High School varsity tennis players have qualified for the Class 4A State Boys Tennis Championship scheduled to take place May 13-14 in Winfield.

During the 4A regional tournament Friday in Overland Park, Fort Scott’s Elijah Self (No. 4 seed) finished 1-2 to place fourth with four points in No. 1 singles. In No. 2 doubles play, Fort Scott’s Christian Seals and David Jones (No. 5 seed) finished 2-1 to place fifth with three points. The three will now prepare for the state tournament.
