Chanute holds back Lady Tigers, 13-5

A six-run fourth inning catapulted the Chanute Lady Blue Comets to a 13-5 victory over the Fort Scott Lady Tigers in the final game of the Fort Scott Invitational Softball Tournament Tuesday evening at Fisher Park.

Chanute blew open a 4-3 game in the third but the Lady Tigers (0-3) rallied late to avoid ending the game on a run rule. The Lady Tigers scored two in the sixth, and made a little noise in the seventh before the final out was recorded.
