Walker appointed to city commission

Shane Walker will be sworn in as the newest city commissioner during the next regular Fort Scott City Commission meeting on April 5.

On Monday, commissioners appointed Walker to fill the remaining term of Pete Allen, who resigned his seat Wednesday, March 16, less than 24 hours after the last regular commission meeting. Walker’s term expires December 2023.
